Samsara to Epicor BisTrack Integration Service

A Cloud service integrating Samara GPS events and vehicle location with your Epicor BisTrack software.

With this service, your Samara GPS equipped vehicles will automatically start and finish your Journeys within BisTrack when they exit or enter a virtual fence you define on a map surrounding your property in the Samsara portal. It also provides the current location of a vehicle when using the Vehicle Location functionality within the BisTrack application.

The service is cloud based so there is nothing to install and it works with both Epicor hosted or Self hosted BisTrack environments.

Samsara GPS integration allows you to automatically trigger BisTrack Journey starts and stops while also capturing the vehicle odometer value at the time of the event. Automating your BisTrack Journeys increases the accuracy of your data and ensures your dispatch workflow is efficient.

Why do I need this service?

Epicor BisTrack supports telemetry integrations with a number of providers out-of-the-box. Samsara is currently not one of the supported integration partners. This Cloud service bridges the gap between your Samsara and BisTrack environments.

How does it Work?

When a vehicle equipped with a GPS enters or exits a geofence, an event is triggered by the Samsara environment. The Samsara event is securely sent to our cloud service, enhanced with the vehicle odometer reading and translated into a format for BisTrack. The message is then passed along to your BisTrack environment to trigger appropriate processing of your Journey.

Additionally, when the BisTrack application requests the current location of a vehicle, this integration translates the request from BisTrack into a format Samsara understands and the response is translated back into a format BisTrack understands, displaying the current location of the vehicle on a map.
